In today's "blame culture", the need for professional assistance to handle complainants has never been more apparent.

Recent international research has shown that there is a fast growing compensation culture developing in many jurisdictions where financial services regulation has been steadily increasing... South Africa will prove to be no exception to this trend.

The FAIS Act takes the issue of complaints seriously and details a specific course of action with associated time frames for financial advisors to deal with complaints received from clients that relate to the advisory product sales process. This effectively means that all advisors need to be aware of the technicalities of the process.
